Important Information

Directions: From the M5 - Come off the M5 at junction 30, onto the A376, Sidmouth Road. At the first roundabout take the second exit to stay on the same road, after seven miles, just after Exmouth train station, take the second exit onto Imperial Road. Take the first exit at the next roundabout to stay on Imperial Road. At the end of the road turn right onto Alexandra Terrace and at the end of that road the hotel will be on your right.

The Grand Hotel has a car park with a limited amount of priority spaces, these can be reserved at £6.00 per day. Advanced booking is highly recommended. There is usually some on street parking available and there is also a public car park nearby, charges apply

Powderham Castle

Open from March to October, this attractive castle is set in a beautiful deer park on the banks of the River Exe. Tours and exhibits tell the story of more than 600 years of history, while the deer safari trail offers the opportunity to meet these beautiful creatures up close. See a real blacksmith at work in the Forge, or treat yourself to a delicious cream tea at the licensed Courtenay Cafe.

A La Ronde

At the heart of this unusual attraction is a 16-sided house, packed with creative treasures from across the globe. Hexadecagon in shape, the house was built by two cousins Jane and Mary Parminter in 1796 and remains a popular visitor attraction today. Aside from its unusual shape, the house’s décor is unique, with feather and shell-adorned walls, diamond-shaped windows, and unusual works of art

Exmoor Zoo

The award-winning attraction in its beautiful setting is a brilliant day out for all ages. The zoo is home to a very wide variety of mammals, birds, fish, amphibians and arthropods with regular talks, feeding and handling sessions throughout the day. You can also find out more about the Exmoor beast, a legendary creature which may just be a black leopard, puma or another big cat.

Killerton House

This National Trust property is breathtakingly beautiful with its stunning grounds and woodland. The forest carpet is a sea of blue in spring as the bluebells burst open and nesting birds fill the canopy
