Improvements & Updates
At Bay Hotels, we pride ourselves in offering our guests comfortable accommodation and stylish surroundings for a truly relaxing stay. That’s why we operate a continual programme of improvement by enhancing both our guest rooms and public spaces to ensure they meet the high standards that you’ve come to expect of the Bay brand.
Throughout 2017, we refurbished an impressive 267 of our guest bedrooms across 11 of our hotels, from Fort William in northwest Scotland down to Eastbourne on England’s southeast coast. Our newly refurbished rooms are both clean and comfortable with fresh new décor, updated furniture and a range of quality amenities for our guests’ enjoyment.
Our rooms aren’t the only thing that have enjoyed an overhaul recently. We’ve also refreshed many of our public spaces, with an attractive upgrade of the restaurant at the charming Majestic hotel in Eastbourne that was completed in December of last year. The Bay Royal Hotel in Whitby also benefited from a wonderful overhaul of the restaurant area last year, with guests now able to relax and dine in the refreshed stylish surroundings with a lovely neutral colour palette.
Never content to rest on our laurels, we've already started a busy programme of refurbishment this year, with the characterful Marine hotel in Llandudno being one of the first to benefit. This exceptional traditional building already enjoys high ceilings, huge windows and plenty of original details. These elegant features have been further enhanced with a careful upgrade of all the ground floor, public areas and many of the bedrooms.
Ensuring the interior is every bit as stunning as its exterior, the beautiful Tarbet Hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond will undergo a similarly thoughtful refresh to the reception, restaurant and bedrooms, with the work due to be completed early this year. With its grand appearance and incredible views across the loch, the Tarbet already attracts many loyal guests year after year – and with an upgraded look and feel, there’s even more reason to visit this stately hotel in its idyllic setting.
The Valley Rocks hotel in Lynton will also benefit from an upgrade early in the year. This delightful hotel in Lynton will see a refresh of its public spaces, ground floor areas and bedrooms. This charming hotel has many classic features, including a stunning atrium with intricate balcony panels and gold leaf columns, and its new, updated look means that more guests will soon be able to enjoy these delightful spaces even more.
Due for completion in March, the Marina hotel in Newquay is undergoing a programme of modernisation across the public areas, ground floor and bedrooms, which will enhance this modern hotel’s lovely features. With huge windows in the lounge areas, offering panoramic vistas of the Cornish coast, the hotel already provides guests with the perfect place to unwind, and the refurbishment will simply enhance its bright, airy feel.
Finally, a programme of updates is planned for the simply gorgeous Royal Hotel in Weymouth, which already benefits from some truly outstanding period features.
