Bay Marine Hotel, Llandudno

We are a party of six who usually stay at another hotel in Llandudno for Easter, they were fully booked so we tried the Bay Marine. We were pleasantly surprised especially with the price and quality of the superior and premium rooms. Entertainment on the Friday and Saturday was good but it was disappointing that none was available on the Sunday .Food was as expected for the price and there was always something we liked and we never went hungry ,waiting staff were friendly and attentive.

We stayed in room 112, (a superior sea view room}unfortunately the heating had failed and it was very cold. However, the trainee manager, Joe Pilling went to a great deal of trouble to ensure we had an electric fire which solved the problem. Well done to him and all the staff who were really helpful. The hotel is a little tired in places and some of the communal areas were cold (ballroom in particular) but the excellent staff more than compensated for this.

First time at the Marine, won't be the last for sure. Newly refurbished bedroom, (slight new paint smell) very comfortable beds, wish we could have brought them home. Comfortable lounge area and we hit on a weekend where some drinks were free, a big bonus. Could have done with a bit more room in the dining area, tables quite close together. Food good, plenty of choice. All in all a very good weekend. Thanks to all at the Marine Hotel.

National Holidays took us and it was brilliant! Really warm swimming pool, fabulous views of sea, close to beach, shops, cafes etc. The staff were helpful and friendly, especially our waiter and the food was great. What a delight, we loved it. Decent sized bedrooms, comfy lounge for reading, tables and chairs outside for star gazing! I can't wait to go again - in January even the weather was warm and sunny - excellent value for money and so relaxing we thought we'd been away much longer. xx

Our first stay at this hotel and we were very pleased and will if coming to Llandudno again will use this hotel again. One of the good features were the parking facilities, parking bays were identified specifically for your car Food was very good and staff were always available to help.

We had a 5 day break, with Shearings holidays staying at this hotel. The hotel room was overlooking the prom. It was clean, very bright and warm. The hotel food was good, plenty of it and we had a lovely smiling and pleasant waitress. The rest of the staff were friendly and helpful, just what you expect from a Shearings trip Taking the excellent coach driver and the weather we had a great break and would recommend this hotel.

Have stayed at many Bay Hotels, but this one was the best so far. Although some areas needed some TLC the hotel was very clean and very comfortable. The staff were most accommodating and the service in the restaurant excellent. Food very good. Room clean and comfortable bed. All in all good value for money. We will return.

Had a large room at the back of the hotel the beds where clean but the carpet was old and black my husband was not happy so he spoke to the acting manager and resolved the problem the best he could because the hotel was full we did not let the room spoil our stay we had a good 3 nights good food and good staff I have booked a superior room for next may it is a surprise Xmas present for my husband. Had a very good couple of days at the hotel and the day’s excursion to Betsy Cowen and Caernarfon the only thing is that they don’t do sandwiches during the afternoon. But didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves

Thank you Marine! Twelve ladies had a wonderful break with you whilst at the Men’s Barbershop Convention. We found the staff extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms and room service really good. It was lovely after a hectic day to return to the hotel and our comfortable beds. The food was always hot and served with a smile. I would definitely visit again.

This hotel is in a beautiful location, with easy access to the town and the local attractions. The hotel itself is very comfortable, excellent cleanliness all round. The staff are very friendly, yet efficient and professional. The food is superb and as far as we could see, no faults can be found in any department. I would highly recommend this establishment. Entertainment was provided the three nights of our stay and was of the highest standard. The Marine is the place for us.

We were very pleased with our four day stay, had a small top floor room with a sea view, warm and comfortable. Food was very good and the staff were very friendly. We made a lot of friends. The decor was a little tired, but good value for money.

Just been on a Monday-Friday and really enjoyed it. I had a single room which overlooked the Great Orme and Pier. The room was comfortable, clean and beds made each day. Food was very nice with plenty of choice and the waiting staff were always friendly. Entertainment in the evenings was good with resident duo Sheila and John.

We are just looking forward to our sixth visit to the marine in 12 months. We have always found the hotel warm and friendly; the food is always tasty and suits us nicely. All we can hope for is reasonable weather.

It’s a lovely hotel in a fabulous location. Staff are helpful and friendly. The food is fine, but size of helpings small. Hotel heating system needs updating, so best to go in the summer. Considering all this, I still really enjoyed my holiday.

Because of bad weather, we couldn't get to the hotel we booked in Whitby and were offered the Marine Hotel in Llandudno instead. How lucky for us! The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food delicious. The entertainment was very enjoyable. Altogether a fantastic weekend.

Had a lovely and spacious premier room, with sea and promenade views. The food was excellent, hot and served by friendly staff. Hotel is well sighted for walks along the promenade or into town to take advantage of the extensive shops. Also, it’s a good base for walks to Snowdon, Anglesey etc. Only gripe was the expensive wine/drinks, surely slightly cheaper price would mean more would be sold. Yes, some decor is in need of updating, but this did not detract from m our enjoyment at all.

Had a midweek break golfing. Food the best of all the Shearing's I have stayed in. It's a little bit like a rabbit warren, but the food and friendly staff made up for it. The rooms, very comfortable with lovely sea views. Highly recommended
