The SEA LIFE Adventure Park –
Weymouth’s popular aquarium is home to more than 1,000 marine creatures. It also features a 53 metre tall viewing tower offering panoramic coastal views, just in case the stunning views from the hotel restaurant aren’t enough.
Lodmoor Country Park –
15 minutes from the centre of Weymouth, the natural beauty of the Lodmoor Country Park makes it one of the most popular attractions in Dorset. In amongst 350 acres of land you’ll find a café, a pub with restaurant and plenty of places to sit for a picnic or a BBQ. Other facilities include a seasonal 9-hole pitch and putt course, a seasonal model railway, an outdoor play area, an outdoor gym and an RSPB nature reserve. There is also plenty of on-site parking.
Weymouth Pavilion –
The Pavilion is Weymouth’s theatre hosting performances including pantomimes, comedy nights, dances, live music performances, dramas, musicals and shows for kids. Buy tickets in advance to avoid disappointment.
Isle of Portland –
Off the coast of Weymouth, linked to the mainland, the Isle of Portland is well worth a visit whilst you’re staying in The Royal Hotel. Attractions on the island include the Portland Bill Lighthouse, the Portland Museum and Portland Castle. There are also plenty of natural beauty spots and a number of walking trails.
