Gairloch Heritage Museum
The Gairloch Heritage Museum looks at the history of the village, detailing how people lived not only in Gairloch throughout the ages but in the surrounding regions and villages too. From the Stone Age through to modern history, learn all about the area and visit the museum shop selling tours and souvenirs related to the Highlands.
Take to the waters and get close to nature as you sail off the coast between March and October to hopefully see numerous species including dolphins, whales, porpoises and seals, along with beautiful seabirds. Enjoy fascinating trips led by experienced guides who will provide plenty of informative details as the wonders of nature unfold before you.
Totally transformed after the 1980 storms by owner Nicky Macpherson, it is an artist's garden designed to frame the magnificent views of Skye and the surrounding hills. Waterfalls, Monet bridges, meconopsis, bamboo and candelabra primula are reflected in dark pools. Sculpture lurks in unexpected places.
Gairloch Marine Life Centre
Located in one of the most picturesque areas in Wester Ross on the west coast of the Highlands where you will be spoilt for choice with so much to see and do. Come and join us on our daily boat cruises where you could see Harbour Porpoises, Whales, Grey and Common Seals and Dolphins, plus a huge variety of seabirds including White Tailed Eagles, Golden Eagles, Black-Throated Divers.
