Grand Hotel from 29th to 31st October

Stayed with friends for a short break. Due to a late booking, I was unable to secure front facing rooms and with some in trepidation, checked into our rear facing rooms. These, although small, were in excellent order, clean and comfortable. None of us could fault this hotel in any way. Will revisit but will book earlier to secure a front facing room.

Comfortable

Good weekend break! This hotel was, on first impression on entering, good and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our bedroom, on entering, needed some attention to the decorating and this let the room down, but, all in all, very comfortable and clean with Tea & Coffee available, TV and hairdryer. Good selection of food and the restaurant staff very attentive and polite. We will revisit this hotel as I think it was good value for money although, I would like to see some improvement to some rooms.

Grand Hotel 7th to 11th February

4 Star hotel with 2 star rating. Had a great break, the hotel was clean and staff, very friendly and helpful. The meals basic but served hot with plenty of veg. In our room was just a bath, missed the shower. The entertainment was good. On the whole, the hotel was clean and comfortable with good hot food. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Well done the Grand!

Weekend Break

Just returned from a week end break with Shearings at the Grand Hotel - I had read the reviews and was a little hesitant - but what a surprise. The hotel was clean - staff were friendly - the dining room staff couldn't do enough for us - the room was small but adequate. What more can we say but we had a wonderful time - thank you.
