The Bay Grand Hotel enjoys a superb position on the seafront opposite Golden Sands Beach. The hotel benefits from fantastic views across the Exe Estuary towards Dawlish Warren. The Hotel is set in a Crescent of elegant houses - the first crescent of its kind to be built in Devon with every house facing the sea. Panoramic views across Lyme Bay and the estuary can be seen from all front facing rooms along with Drakes Bar, lounges and our relaxing gardens. The Regency entertainment suite and bar provide the perfect place to unwind. Exmouth is the gateway to the World Heritage Jurassic Coast stretching as far as Dorset and is renowned for its red cliffs and sand dunes. Where the River Exe meets the sea, two miles of golden sands are backed by contrasting red cliffs, sheltering a tiny harbour. Behind the esplanade are pleasant gardens, picturesque alms houses and a variety of shops.

Stayed with friends for a short break. Due to a late booking, I was unable to secure front facing rooms and with some in trepidation, checked into our rear facing rooms. These, although small, were in excellent order, clean and comfortable. None of us could fault this hotel in any way. Will revisit but will book earlier to secure a front facing room.

Good weekend break! This hotel was, on first impression on entering, good and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our bedroom, on entering, needed some attention to the decorating and this let the room down, but, all in all, very comfortable and clean with Tea & Coffee available, TV and hairdryer. Good selection of food and the restaurant staff very attentive and polite. We will revisit this hotel as I think it was good value for money although, I would like to see some improvement to some rooms.

4 Star hotel with 2 star rating. Had a great break, the hotel was clean and staff, very friendly and helpful. The meals basic but served hot with plenty of veg. In our room was just a bath, missed the shower. The entertainment was good. On the whole, the hotel was clean and comfortable with good hot food. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Well done the Grand!

Just returned from a week end break with Shearings at the Grand Hotel - I had read the reviews and was a little hesitant - but what a surprise. The hotel was clean - staff were friendly - the dining room staff couldn't do enough for us - the room was small but adequate. What more can we say but we had a wonderful time - thank you.
