Good hotel good food, staff great only downside, not enough seating in entertaining room. By the time staff finished serving evening meal no tables left.

In a nutshell, real value for money. The staff, as always with Shearings, are the stars. Nothing is too much trouble, the food was excellent and great entertainment. Nice clean room and I would recommend it to anyone.

Tor Park

We had never been on a Shearings Holiday before, but it won't be the last. Yes the hotel is tired and hadn't got Wi-Fi, but was clean. Our waitress Sharron was great, couldn't do enough for you. The Bar staff always had a smile and joke perfect. Entertainment was good. Trips well organized. Do know most old hotels, have creaking floorboards. Room 21 was awful, as the drivers had room above, and was like a herd of elephants going from one Side to the other. Drivers should have a room downstairs, that my only grumble.

We had a brilliant weekend at the hotel. The food was lovely and the entertainment was great. We would like to thank Sharon, Jane and Damon for their attentiveness whilst serving the meals and a special thank you to the friendly/cheerful bar ladies Trina and Fran for keeping the G&Ts and wine flowing.

Firstly, I would like to say that the hotel we stayed in was good. The breakfast and evening meals were tasty and the rooms were clean but could have done with a lick of paint. The entertainment very good. I would love to stay again I would like to thank all the staff, they were great.

Tor Park

Have stayed at the Tor Park for a weekend cabaret in November for 3 years, and we are going again next month. We have nothing but praise for the way we are treated, the staff are welcoming, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent food. Entertainment is excellent. Hosted and compared by Steve Laister. Well done everyone. Look forward to our stay again next month. This is from our party of 20. Do hope this is passed on to the proprietors.

About the hotel

First of all I want to start with the positive and that was the staff but with some exceptions like a waiter or two I had the unfortunate luck of being served by. And the bar staff those two ladies were friendly. Next....the view out of my window a peeling wall and not very nice skip then not to mention the scaffolding that went some a few days later!. The food was nearly nice had the chef not seemed to be on a constant go slow . My room I’ve stayed in better premier inns. All in all poor.

Bay Tor Park Hotel, Torquay

My wife and I stayed for two nights it’s a Wonderful hotel. Service excellent, staff couldn’t do enough to help and very cheerful. Very clean hotel. Food very good and served very quickly. You didn’t have to wait to be served. 10/10 we loved it and we will go back. The shops are 5 minutes away and some great old pubs to have one or to in. It took us 10 minutes walk to get to the beach. A lot longer on the way back. In and out of the pubs! Oh one big thank you to our Waitress Sharron what a lovely person.

The Tor Park Hotel Review

Hotel a little dated and in need of a face lift. Entertainment was good especially the comedian (forgot his name). Chairs in entertainment lounge definitely need replacing, extremely uncomfortable. The excursions are well worth going on. Food in this hotel is adequate with plenty of choice. Our bedroom was kept exceptionally clean by Sheila, who provided us with much appreciated information on the local area. All staff friendly and helpful. Overall an enjoyable holiday which I would recommend.

The Tor Park Hotel Review

We have just returned from a four day, Monday to Friday, all Inclusive break at the tor Park Hotel. Which we can only say was Shearing’s at it's best! Having read some of the reviews that have been posted on the internet regarding the Tor Park Hotel, we are still wondering if we stayed in the same place. No guest’s that we spoke to had anything but praise for the management, staff and facilities. Everybody tries so hard to make your stay enjoyable, you just cannot ask for more. This hotel may not be on the sea front, but with a bus service every 10 minutes to the centre of Torquay, right outside the front door, it really is in a great quiet location. Check out the patio and Garden area, real sun traps and really peaceful. We were on an all inclusive break and wanted for nothing the whole time we were there. Would we go back, You Bet! Thanks Tor Park for a great break!
