Excellent Staff

We have just returned from a 7 day self-drive holiday and we found the service from staff was excellent, from the initial contact by phone we found them to be exceptionally helpful and friendly, One member of staff who deserves a special mention, our waitress Laura we looked forward everyday to her smile and friendly efficient service. Food was good; the room was comfortable although bathroom was in need of updating as too was the lift. Only drawback disabled access - steps at front of hotel

Grand Exmouth

Hotel situated in lovely position on the promenade with excellent views of the estuary at Exmouth. Very much the best feature of a stay at this hotel. Bus service from this hotel very poor with a long walk to the nearest bus stop. Come on Stagecoach there are several hotels why not a better bus service? Bus service Exmouth to Exeter was frequent though, even on Sunday. Hotel clean and pleasant with pleasant and friendly staff. Food good and varied. Would be nice to have entertainment on a Sunday

We didn’t expect Hilton hotel bedroom standards but what we didn’t expect was a dirty worn out carpet wonky floorboards mouldy bathroom window could not open it to let condensation from bath out for fear that the glass would fall out we didn’t complain as we thought all the rooms were same standard on our landing until we were leaving this morning all the bedroom doors were open for cleaning every room had a nice carpet in them except room 48 which we stayed in.

Great Hotel

Excellent hotel. Stayed there before on a coach trip and thought it was really good all round so went again under our own steam. Not disappointed. Would always stay there again and certainly recommend it.

Weekend Break

Just returned from a week end break with Shearings at the Grand Hotel - I had read the reviews and was a little hesitant - but what a surprise. The hotel was clean - staff were friendly - the dining room staff couldn't do enough for us - the room was small but adequate. What more can we say but we had a wonderful time - thank you.

Grand Hotel 7th to 11th February

4 Star hotel with 2 star rating. Had a great break, the hotel was clean and staff, very friendly and helpful. The meals basic but served hot with plenty of veg. In our room was just a bath, missed the shower. The entertainment was good. On the whole, the hotel was clean and comfortable with good hot food. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Well done the Grand!

Good weekend break! This hotel was, on first impression on entering, good and staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our bedroom, on entering, needed some attention to the decorating and this let the room down, but, all in all, very comfortable and clean with Tea & Coffee available, TV and hairdryer. Good selection of food and the restaurant staff very attentive and polite. We will revisit this hotel as I think it was good value for money although, I would like to see some improvement to some rooms.

Grand Hotel from 29th to 31st October

Stayed with friends for a short break. Due to a late booking, I was unable to secure front facing rooms and with some in trepidation, checked into our rear facing rooms. These, although small, were in excellent order, clean and comfortable. None of us could fault this hotel in any way. Will revisit but will book earlier to secure a front facing room.
