At a glance;
Ilfracombe stands on the rugged North Devon coast as a hugely popular Victorian seaside resort. Our hotel is a short walk from the bustling 10th-century harbour where Britain’s most famous living artist, Damien Hirst, is tabled to install an iconic statue for the region. The welcoming Dilkhusa Grand is situated on the level seafront and overlooks the picturesque Runnymeade Gardens and unique Landmark Theatre, which attracts many national acts.
The hotel has a fascinating history. Originally a private house, it was bought by a Raj at the turn of the last century as a gift to his wife - Dilkhusa translates roughly as ‘House of the Happy Heart!’ Today’s Dilkhusa includes a well-appointed restaurant and spacious and comfortable entertainment suite in which to enjoy the acts at this friendly and sociable hotel.
