Newquay is famous as the centre of surfing in the UK, but this busy resort has much to offer any visitor.

The Beresford is situated in a superb position on the seafront, overlooking Tolcarne Beach and the Atlantic Ocean and many of the front facing rooms have spectacular views from the hotel’s cliff top position. The bar and ballroom provide pleasant surroundings in which to enjoy the varied entertainment on offer and there are two comfortable lounges and a dedicated games area to enjoy. Watch the surfers take on the powerful Atlantic waves from the comfort of our seafront conservatory.

From the hotel, it’s just a short walk into Newquay’s bustling town centre. Newquay is a great base for discovering a whole host of attractions and Cornwall’s rugged coastline.

How to get there

By Car:

From the A39, follow signs for Wadebridge, Newquay, joining the A392, follow signs for the A3058 signposted St Columb Minor, Town Beaches. Continue through Henver Road until Narrow Cliff is reached. The hotel is on the left hand side. (AA Roadwatch 09003 401100).

Land’s End is one of Britain’s best loved landmarks, famous for its unique location and beautiful scenery. Geevor Tin Mine
Located in the far west of Cornwall, on the Atlantic coast, Geevor Tin Mine is a fabulous exhibit of Cornish mining history. A fully working mine until 1990, Geevor Tin Mine is now the largest preserved mining site and museum in the UK. This large site includes various buildings and underground-guided tours, which detail the fascinating process of extraction through the 18th and 19th centuries. Geevor also has a wonderful museum, which tells the story of mining in Cornwall over the years and what life was like for those who earned their living underground!
