The Majestic is located on the East Cliff and is just a few minutes walk from the seven miles of glorious golden sand that is Bournemouth beach. The bay offers beautiful vistas and on a clear day you can easily see the Needles on the Isle of Wight and Old Harry’s Rocks over in the Purbecks.
From the hotel it is just a short walk to the shops and a variety of seaside attractions. The location is perfect for guests to explore the surrounding area. Dinner can be enjoyed in the comfortable restaurant and residents can also enjoy the benefit of a snooker room, outside terrace and swimming pool. With a contemporary ballroom and bar, lively entertainment is provided most evenings including music for dancing, visiting cabaret, quizzes and bingo.
This hotel has a car park with a limited amount of priority spaces, these can be reserved at £5.00 per day. On street parking is usually available, charges apply

By Car:
On approaching Bournemouth from the A338 or A35 at the roundabout turn left to join St Paul’s Road. Go straight on at the station roundabout onto St Swithun’s Road, heading towards Boscombe. After about 300 yards at the pedestrian crossing, turn right onto Derby Road. The hotel is about 30 yards on the left hand side, on the corner of Derby and Manor Road.

By Train:
Services to Bournemouth’s Station. The hotel is either a 5 minute taxi ride away or a 20 minute walk. There is no direct bus route. (Rail enquiries to 08457 484950)
National Express:
Services to Bournemouth Travel Interchange and Bus Depot. Opposite the Train station. There is no direct Bus route. (National Express enquiries to 08705 808080).
By Bus:
Yellow Busses 20, 21, 22 and 23 go into Bournemouth. Wiltshire and Dorset Bus number 105 goes into Poole.

Just had a great 3 nights at Majestic. The food was excellent very nicely cooked and good variety. The staff were very helpful and pleasant Rooms nice and clean but could do with brighting up I know the weather was dreary over the two days so may have looked better in the sunshine. Entertainment was excellent all three nights. Tony Rudd made our last evening one to remember as he was really on form. Would go back again in future.

My friend and I came here for the first time, we have never been on a Shearings holiday before, (we came by car) we had a great time, all staff were so friendly and helpful, food was excellent. We stayed in room 211 which was really nice, modern and clean. We would definitely go on a Shearings holiday again. The only issue we had was that another hotel guest accused me of scratching his car in the car park, which I did not do. Could not fault this hotel. Thank you all the staff.

Just returned from a Shearings holiday based at your hotel. Room good, food excellent (especially the facility to also choose from the A la carte menu), entertainment on two nights first class. Staff were so helpful and polite. We didn't receive our complimentary bottle of wine (as promised in the brochure for four nights or more and feel this should be taken up with Shearings). All in all an excellent holiday. Thanks.

Our first time with Shearings. We had fantastic time week break away. The hotel was nice clean and welcoming with fresh towels every day. The food was cooked very well the menu was good choice to eat from. The entertainment was very good and the staff was very helpful and pleasant. Couldn’t fault this hotel. Thanks to all

Had a really relaxing holiday, as always at the Majestic good food and entertainment, room was comfortable, but needed modernising, which we appreciate takes time and money, it was my husband’s first time at Bournemouth and the majestic, he was very happy with the hotel, here’s to next year, thanks to everyone for a really good holiday.

Had a Really good Holiday at this Hotel, All the staff were very helpful ,and pleasant, Entertainment was great, would go back just for Amanda Jane, loved her sense of humour, and her singing, would have liked some sequence dancing, but, no one's fault, no one wants to be first up, maybe lights could be dimmed more, food was good, room 312 was clean, Thanks to all for a good holiday, Hope to return as soon as...........

I spent a very nice 8 days at the Majestic and would like to say I had a lovely time. As a vegetarian I found the menu was the best I had experienced with previous Shearings hotels. The nut loaf was really good. The trips out were excellent although we did not do the Christchurch one as the air show was on that day which we wanted to see. Only downside was the slow waiting staff and the noise from the entertainment which could be heard in the bedroom. Would come again but request quiet room.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Majestic Hotel. Everyone was down to earth (not snobby or stuck up their own backsides) and extremely kind. There's plenty to do and the price is quite cheap to be fair! I would definitely recommend this hotel to plenty of people. I will definitely be returning.

We really had a great stay at this hotel. All was really clean, room was very good. The dining experience was excellent. The varied menu was very attractive and the food cooked really well. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. Entertainment was provided each evening and this was varied to suit all tastes. Thanks to all for a good holiday.
