From Venue Cymru with its shows and live performances to the natural beauty of the Great Orme Country Park, there’s always something to enjoy when you stay at a hotel in Llandudno. See it all from the Llandudno Cable Car, or travel just away from the town for days at Conwy Castle and the Welsh Mountain Zoo. There are mines to explore and golf courses on which to test your skills, though when sunbathing on the beach gets a little too much you might instead choose to take to the slopes for a day of skiing and snowboarding!

Your guide to Llandudno

Llandudno at a glance:
  • One of Wales’ most popular coastal towns.
  • Thrilling natural beauty offered by Great Orme, with stunning views.
  • Exciting modern attractions including skiing and snowboarding.
  • Charming coastline scenery, perfect for walks and drives.
  • Close to many historic attractions, including Conwy Castle.

Llandudno is one of the most popular destinations for a holiday in North Wales. You’ll soon understand why, when you set foot beyond the door of your Llandudno hotel and you see the vast array of activities and the many things to do. Combining a rich history with modern resort attractions and beautiful natural scenery, Llandudno has something for every member of even the most discerning of travel parties.

The Llandudno pier is a classic seaside attraction and one of the town’s most iconic features. Breathe in the sea air as you stroll by the beach, enjoying traditional treats such as Welsh rock, ice cream and delicious fish and chips. Try your luck in the amusement arcades, or make your way onto the sand where you’re free to sunbathe, build sandcastles and play your favourite beach games. Away from the pier, Llandudno’s town centre is home to museums, art galleries and a major cinema, giving you plenty to choose from each day.

Just outside the town is Great Orme - a limestone headland that offers magnificent views. You’re able to walk around it or, to get the most out of the scenery, to climb to the summit on-board the vintage tramway. From here you can even see as far as the Lake District with favourable weather, though the views even on cloudy days are sure to take your breath away. Also adjacent to the town is the Llandudno Ski and Snowboard Centre, which has its own PermaSnow slope that makes it one of the town’s most popular year-round attractions complete with a toboggan and sno-tube run, perfect for younger visitors.

Not far from Llandudno you’ll also find Conwy, featuring one of the most visually astounding castles in Wales. Visitors are able to climb the battlements to enjoy the view, and to explore some of the still-standing rooms for an insight into medieval life.

Llandudno and the surrounding towns give you a diverse array of activities and sights to enjoy. However long you decide to stay, your Llandudno Hotel will be the perfect base for a fun-packed break in a striking region.
